Q: Is our investment protected?
A: Application and Agency fees may be applied to another case should the birth mother/parents decide not to proceed in your case after a “match”. Your application and agency fees, should you withdraw from the program, are not refundable, except in the case of your becoming pregnant. This refund amount is determined by the Board of Directors and a reasonable administration fee will be deducted.
Unfortunately, moneys required to provide support for the birth mother/family are not protected. The best protection for allowable expenses spent on a case, is the collective experience of the ASA Staff in determining the viability of a case and and your careful selection of a case within your budget and comfort level. There simply are no guarantees due to the complex human issues involved.
