Q: How long will our ASA adoption take?

A: Since in "Semi-Open Adoption" birthparents choose the adoptive couple to place their child with, it is impossible to estimate the time an individual case will take.

Once the adoption application is complete and the Home Study approved adoptive parents are accepted into ASA's program, placement time varies from one to two years for Caucasian and Hispanic/Caucasian newborns and six months to one year for Full Hispanic newborns.
